What the Funk?!

Jeffree White (Bluegrass & Beyond, Old Souls, Black Sapphire, Cosmic Marbles) leads a project that is half

funky jazz -- mostly from the vintage 60s/70s era -- and  funky vocal rock songs.

The vibe can range from laid-back chill background music, to lively danceable party music.  While you'll hear some classics you'll likely recognize, the band also offers a variety of lesser-known gems in different funk-adjacent styles.  The band has become renowned for offering something different and fresh to the local music scene.

Personnel usually includes:

• Jeffree White on keyboards (also guitar, during the first year) & vocals;

• Jan Reimers (Bluegrass & Beyond) on electric bass & vocals;

• Horacio Salcedo (Soul Remains) on drums & vocals;

• Wayne Watson (Rooftop Romeos, Big Bang Band) on trumpet;

• Todd Jones (Rooftop Romeos, Charlie Cook Band) on sax;
